A Business Card’s Two Faces: Business Card Back Ideas

There are loads of exciting possibilities for that blank back side of your business cards; you only have to think outside the box – or in this case, business card holder. Here are some great ideas lined up for that oft-neglected real estate.

Back of Business Card Ideas

Tips

When I visited my optical shop just recently, I took a souvenir from their stack of business cards by the door and was pleasantly surprised that they’ve started printing eye care tips at the back. There were different kinds, too – some were for contact lens care, foods good for eye health, and so on.

In the same way, your custom business cards can have tips related to your business printed at the back. You can also target specific niches like my optical shop did. It’s a thoughtful gesture, and your customers might end up getting more than one kind because of it – and so have convenient spare cards to hand to their friends.

Calendar

Since many people have a need for pocket or wallet calendars, let your business card volunteer for the job. Not only does your business card escape the risk of ending up forgotten in your clients’ business card holders, but you can also clue them in on your business’s events with your calendar.

Appointment Reminders

Is your business very appointment-reliant? Spare yourself and your secretary the headaches from missed appointments by having appointment reminders at the back of your business cards printed. Your clients will have double the reasons to hang on to your cards, and won’t have to look all over the place for that hastily-scribbled appointment note.

Translation

Going back and forth between two countries or more? Instead of sticking to just English on your business card design, try printing translations at the back. The people you do business with in other countries will appreciate how you’ve tried to bridge the gap between your cultural differences. This could even lead to better business relationships.
