Florida Cuts Postcard Reminders
It comes as no surprise that states are looking to cut costs from their budgets. Tax revenue has been falling across the country as unemployment and foreclosure rates are on the rise. Today, Florida announced that they were cutting their annual postcard reminders that the state has sent for years.

These postcard reminders were sent to notify business owners of the upcoming annual reporting deadline. The state has reported a savings of 2 million dollars in printing and mailing costs.
With even the State of Florida cutting postcard printing out, where does your business marketing stand? Does your business continue postcard printing? Or, are you looking for a way to reduce costs?
Postcard Marketing in a Recession
Harvard Business School professor John Quelch stated in 2008 “Instead of cutting the market research budget, you need to know more than ever how consumers are redefining value and responding to the recession.” He goes on to give other valuable insights in marketing your business during a recession. As an experienced marketer, I agree with Professor Quelch. Now is not the time to cut your marketing, but it is time to refine your your marketing creative art, promotional offers and price structures. Postcard printing is still an affordable way to reach your local consumers, so take advantage of our low prices and listing services.
