Three Steps to Photogenic Brochures
July 13, 2009
If pictures are worth a thousand words, they’re worth even more when you’re using them for promotional brochures. Your brochures can be the ticket for people to start doing business with you; it’s important to select your brochure images carefully for the best impact. Want some photogenic, photo-tastic advice for your brochure printing’s images? Read on.
Tips for Picture Perfect Brochure Images
Use Photos More
Photos are easier for people to remember than two-dimensional images. They look more real, so they’re easier to imagine. Of course, graphic representations also serve their purpose. But try to go for beautiful, attractive photos of what you’re offering on your color printing brochures to potential clients as much as possible.
Always Caption Photographs
If people are leafing through your brochures in a hurry, they’re going to focus more on the pictures – and the captions describing them. Make them more readable by keeping them short and sweet. The only exception to this rule is the front photo, which should speak for itself or can be described on the first page inside your folded brochure‘s cover.
Tell a Story
Choose photos that speak to your customers. Also arrange the sequence of your brochure images so they follow a clear line of thought. This way, even if people only leaf through your brochure’s images the first time, the story they tell will interest them enough to read through your print brochures more thoroughly.
